Vide SB Order Dated 26.10.2023 The Department of Posts (DOP) has introduced the option to open Monthly Income Scheme (MIS) accounts, Senior Citizens Savings Scheme (SCSS) accounts, and Mahila Samman Savings Certificate (MSSC) accounts through  DOP Internet Banking, starting from October 20, 2023. This initiative aims to provide more digital transaction facilities to customers of the Post Office Savings Bank (POSB). In the latest release of the Point of Sale (POS) software, version 4.9, several exciting features, and changes have been introduced to enhance the user experience and streamline postal operations. Dimensional Information Capture:  Now, in the CSI POS application, you can capture dimensional information, including Length, Breadth, Height, Diameter, and shape (Cuboid or Cylinder) of the article at the time of Retail/BULK Booking. This data is essential for Volumetric weight Calculation. Note that this functionality is not applicable for international bookings. 2.
