India Post and United States Postal Service (USPS) signs Agreement for Electronic Exchange of Customs Datarelated to postal shipments exchanged between the two countries

Department of Posts, Government of India (India Post) and United States Postal Service (USPS) have entered into an agreement for Electronic Exchange of Customs data related to postal shipments exchanged between the two countries. The agreement will make it possible to transmit and receive electronic data of international postal items prior to their physical arrival at the destination and would enable customs clearance of postal items in advance in line with the evolving global postal framework. This will also improve the performance of postal services in terms of reliability, visibility and security. Security Related Enhancements Added o HTTPS has been enabled for all the processes happening in CIDR through CEL i.e. Operator Sync and Registration/De-Registration etc. 2. Captcha Simplification for MOU o CEL 3.3.7.5 contains the captcha simplification as well which simplified the Mobile updates. 3. Generic Implementation of BRN integration in CEL o With this release, any state government has the option to expose their BRN services as per UIDAI standards. This will ease the process of integration from both State Govts. And UIDAI side as well. · BRN Service of Gujarat Govt. has been integrated with CELC. 4. Self-Learning Modules Developed By PTC Vadodara For Delivery Staff Dealing With DARPAN & PMA Device

Warm wishes for Postal Week – 2020  On 15-10-2020, we are celebrating “Mails Day” To facilitate delivery staff dealing with DARPAN and PMA Device, Postal Training Centre, Vadodara has developed Two separate Self-Learning Modules.   These Modules are designed for use of all End-Users (viz. PA / Postman / GDS etc.). This will enhance their performance in operating DARPAN and PMA device. This will serve the Training needs of delivery staff in this COVID-19 pandemic i.e. also without any movement and staff can attend these modules at their place and choice of time without any cost of training.  Therefore, All Divisional Heads/ Sub Divisional Heads are requested to encourage all End-Users to attempt these modules for enhancement of their knowledge, skill and performance. This may take only 30 - 40 minutes to complete these Modules. Both these modules contains 2 Units followed by 10 simple questions. This is regarding introduction of Common List of Transaction and Common Consolidation for all Small Savings scheme wef 10/10/2020. SB Order 34/2020 dated 07/10/2020 may kindly be referred for detailed instructions to be followed from 10/10/2020. As part of implementation of common LOT and Consolidation, Scheme Wise LOT and Consolidation have been disabled for Counter PA and Supervisor role users from 10/10/2020. These report will be available for SBCO PA and SBCO Supervisor role users for checking Vouchers prior to 09/10/2020. This information may please be communicated to all POs immediately. This has approval of DDG FS sir. CPCs are requested to consolidate the issues if any reported by Post Offices in the Long Book (Branch, SDP) Detailed and Consolidation and share the same to us for solution.
