India Post Revises Time Limit for Treating Speed Post and Business Parcels as Lost

India Post has recently revised the time limit for treating Speed Post and Business Parcels as lost. The revision, from 60 days to 30 days, is a welcome move that will boost customer confidence.

Streamlined Parcel Handling with PNOP

The Parcel Network Optimization Project (PNOP) has played a pivotal role in reshaping India Post's parcel handling processes. New layout designs and operational equipment in Parcel Hubs and Nodal Delivery Centers (NDCs) have resulted in efficient and expedited parcel processing. The improved scanning percentages at all stages of handling and D+0 delivery of parcels showcase the tangible enhancements in overall parcel operations and delivery.

Revised Time Limits Boost Customer Confidence

With the revision in time limits, Speed Post and Business Parcels will now be treated as lost if not delivered within 30 days from the date of booking or 30 days from the date of receipt of the complaint, whichever is later. This adjustment is expected to significantly boost customer confidence in India Post's Parcel Service.
