UIDAI Notification: CEL Client v3.3.7.5 Release

Enhancements Added in CEL :

1. Security Related Enhancements Added

o HTTPS has been enabled for all the processes happening in CIDR through CEL i.e. Operator Sync and Registration/De-Registration etc.

2. Captcha Simplification for MOU

o CEL 3.3.7.5 contains the captcha simplification as well which simplified the Mobile updates.

3. Generic Implementation of BRN integration in CEL

o With this release, any state government has the option to expose their BRN services as per UIDAI standards. This will ease the process of integration from both State Govts. And UIDAI side as well.

· BRN Service of Gujarat Govt. has been integrated with CELC.

4. Fixed application crash issue which was reported in earlier release.

5. Security implementation is done for CELC Apk distribution during the Over The Air (OTA) updates.

a. Endpoint is introduced for the OTA updates and new end point is part of CES (Child Enrollment Services) server side component

b. Only active users only can download the new updates after completing the User login from the CEL application

c. To use the OTA features every user need to download CEL-OTA v3.3.7.5 from SFTP location (path provided in above section) and from next version which is CEL v3.3.7.6 & onwards the CELC updates will be through Over The Air (OTA) only
