  The Department of Posts is undertaking the Upgradation of NSP-1 links to a minimum of 2 Mbps (MPLS/VPNoBB). In a significant move towards modernization and efficiency, the Department of Posts (DoP) is undertaking an ambitious project to upgrade the network infrastructure of its field units across the country. Recognizing the challenges faced by Post Offices and Mail Offices due to low network bandwidth, the DoP, in consultation with BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited), has taken the decisive step of upscaling the National Data Center (NSP-1) links to a minimum of 2 Mbps (MPLS/VPNoBB). This upgradation aims to bolster operations and streamline the delivery of postal services nationwide.
