While reviewing status of (SOL ID+382) account, it is seen that Rs. 262 crore outstanding credit balance and Rs. 2.42 crore debit balance are currently pending. Likewise 1.32 lakh outward cheque clearing zones and 115 inward cheque clearing zones are pending as on date. 3. Above pendency is a cause for serious concern. Lukewarm response from the circles on these sensitive matters and delay in liquidating the pendency may even result in defalcation of crores of public money in the post offices. 4. "  CBS-CTS integration solution is going to be deployed early next month. The  integration will help in creating an efficient cheque clearing system and eliminate possibilities of   misappropriation in cheque clearing. " 5. Counter Assistant shall strictly follow the procedure prescribed in POSB CBS Manual in respect of closure of accounts in various schemes. It is clearly prescribed that the "  Counter Assistant will invoke closure menu in FINACLE CBS application and first select Trial Closure.  Then he has to select closure reason code and Repayment mode. On submission, he has to go to HPR menu to view/print report. " Closure amount should be shown to the account holder. If, account holder agrees to actually close the account, Counter PA should get his/her signature on receipt portion of account closure form and then close the account. Hence, Counter Assistant and Supervisor should take much more care while performing the transactions in CBS Finacle, to avoid irregularities and complaints. ATM Accounting Procedure || Department of Posts, PAF Wing, Dak Bhawan, New Delhi-110001

ATM is one of the self-servicing channels of CBS used by POSB customers to carry out the CBS transactions independently. DOP has established 1000 ATMs in various post offices as a part of FSI IT Modernization 2012 project. All these ATMs are co-located with post office and mapped to SOL ID of concerned PO in CBS. Post CBS-CSI GL integration for all POSB intra DOP ATM transactions are automatically accounted at account SOL level and ATM cash account SOL level. All POSB interbank ATM transactions are accounted at account SOL level and NFS Pool account of Nodal accounting office. All other bank transactions initiated at DOP ATM will be accounted at ATM cash account SOL level and NFS Pool Account of Nodal accounting office. Later all interbank transactions are settled and accounted through current account of Nodal Office, Bengaluru GPO by NPCI. RICt acct opening txns which were deleted, account opening to be cancelled. 3. Posted txns will be unblocked and list shared for verification on next working day. 4.
