Sir/madam, This has a reference to proposal/requests received from  Deptt. of Posts, banks,  depositors and Agents Associations to waive default fee/revival fee applicable on NSRD/PPF/SSA accounts on non deposit of monthly/yearly deposit  and period of calculation/payment of interest on Small Savings Accounts due to the lock down situation in the country to contain spread of COVID19 infection. In this connection, it has been approved  by the Ministry of Finance (DEA) and conveyed vide email Dated 30.03.2020 that; A)   The subscribers of RD A/c/ SSA/ PPF A/c may deposit the mandated due amount, if any of Current FY  (2019-20) and April, 2020 (as the case may be) in their respective accounts till 30th June, 2020 and no penalty/ revival fee shall be charged. In continuation of Directorate instructions, please circulate following points to all Post Offices for strict compliance to help us in ensuring timely completion of End Of Year (EOY) activities. INSTRUCTIONS TO POST OFFICES : 1. All the Post offices should complete day-to-day activities including generation of reports, and submit HISCOD by 1800 hrs on 31-03-2020. Post offices should plan their operational activities well in advance for completing activities within the mentioned timelines. Head Post Offices designated for clearing operations will submit HISCOD only on completion of all transactions and closure of all clearing zones. 2. After submission of HISCOD on 31.03.2020, User IDs and transaction menus will be disabled for PO users. After HISCOD submission is done at a SOL, users of that SOL will not be able to do any further transactions till completion of EOY activit...

The beginning of the fiscal year (2020-21) would begin normally on April 1. The government's clarification after a Gazette notification, which pertained to a change in dates for collection of stamp duties, was doing the rounds in some circles. Dear Sir/Madam, I am directed to convey the following Due to COVID 19 lockdown, we received several mails from circle on acceptance of SAS/MPKBY agent transactions in nearby offices which are functioning. Necessary changes have been made in Menu : HDSAMM Change of SOL ID of the agent to HO SET or Circle SET depending on the situation in the circle. Once the parent sol id is changed to SET ID, transactions can be accepted in any post office as approved by Circle/Division. Agent reports will also be generated in the sol where the transaction is accepted for accounting the same. It is also informed that it is the responsibility of the concerned PO Change the SET ID to SOL ID once the lockdown restrictions are removed. This has the approval of DDG FS sir. Dear Sir/Madam, I am directed to convey the following This is regarding credit of PPF/SSA cheques which have been cleared but not credited into the accounts. We are receiving several mails from Circles on the above. CPCs are requested to kindly guide the HOs to post these PPF/SSA cheques of both HO and SOs wherever possible before 31/03/2020. However POs will be able to deposit/open new accounts with allowed number of back value days by changing the correct value date while performing transaction. We have already circulated instructions on acceptance of MPKBY/SAS transactions attached to SOs in nearby HOs by changing SOL ID to SET ID in HDSAMM menu. Please revert in case of any clarifications. Dear Sir/Madam, I am directed to convey the following Please refer trail mail sent on 14/02/2020 requesting CPCs to instruct POs to complete the pending verifications in SBA type of accounts to ensure that the Annual Interest is posted in all accounts. CPCs are aware that Interest will not get posted in the accounts if any verification is pending in these accounts. Inspite of clear instructions, there seems to be no major improvement in clearing verification of pendencies. Non posting of interest may result in public complaints which will increase work load in all levels. Approx 18000 ACCOUNTS where verification is pending. CPCs are requested to kindly coordinate with Post offices wherever possible to clear the pending verifications immediately to ensure that annual interest is posted in these accounts.
