Children Education Allowance (CEA) is a reimbursement provided to Government employees for their children's education expenses. It is governed by DoPT rules and is applicable only under specific conditions.

Generally, CEA is admissible only for children studying in recognized schools or institutions.

🏫 Is Anganwadi a Recognized Educational Institution?

Most Anganwadi centers are NOT recognized as formal educational institutions. They primarily function as:

• Nutrition centers
• Childcare facilities
• Early childhood support services

Therefore, in most cases, CEA is NOT admissible for children attending Anganwadi.

✅ When is CEA Admissible for Anganwadi?

CEA can be claimed ONLY if the Anganwadi is officially recognized as an educational institution by:

• Central Government
• State Government
• Union Territory Administration
• Recognized Educational Authority

Without such recognition, CEA claims will be rejected.
